Little children are often left unattended while parents and older children must work in the fields to try to earn enough to survive. Erma's ministry responds to these needs by providing clothing, food, and shelter.

Erma Fennell is a Canadian missionary who has dedicated almost 20 years of her life to helping the poor in Baja.
The average field worker in this area of Mexico cannot earn enough to feed his family.)

Ministering to the Working Poor
For almost twenty years now, Erma Fennell has faith-fully given of her time, talent, and resources to minister to the needs of the poor and disadvantaged in the northern Baja region of Mexico.
Many of the people that she serves live in deplorable conditions, with dirt floors, leaky plastic roofs, illness, inadequate nutrition, and economic oppression. Many are working poor who cannot afford basic necessities that we take for granted.

As importantly, Erma and her volunteer teachers pro-vide spiritual guidance to those who have never heard of Jesus. Children find joy in singing worship songs in their native dialects, and hearing Bible stories.
Many of the people have never heard of Jesus before, and greet the message of the Gospel with hope and longing. God has graciously opened the doors to Erma, and the fields are ripe and white for harvest.

"...I was naked, and you gave me clothing; I was sick, and you looked after me... " (Matthew 25:36)
Donated clothing from Erma's storehouse is freely distributed to all in need. Winter nights in the desert are cold, and without heat or insulation in their houses, many people become sick.

In April this year, Erma was able to distribute 75 handmade quilts to the poor throughout the northern Baja.

If you, your family, church, school, team, club, or office could assist with sponsoring a child in this poor farming area of Vicente Guerrero, Mexico, it could eliminate the poverty cycle and bring hope to their families. "For I Was hungry, and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty, and you gave me something to drink..."

Every week, Erma and her volunteers bring food to the residents, including milk and peanut butter, stew, or soup and tortillas.
For many of them, these pro-visions are the only food they'll eat in a day. Erma distributes new Bible verses to a young boy in
San Telmo as part of her weekly ministry to the disadvantaged in the Baja.
